Inovaís process from idea to business
In order to create the best possible conditions for ideas that are potential starting points for companies, Inova has developed a way of working, the Inova Commercialisation Process. The process is divided into four phases.
Screening
The first phase of the process is based on the dialogue with innovators, where they are provided with support and contacts enabling them to take their ideas further. After a first meeting with Inova, an assessment is made as to whether the idea is suitable for advancement into the process.
Inova meets with idea keepers from all over Värmland – from private industry, public sector, science/academia as well as people representing just themselves.
Analysis
Ideas and innovators where Inova finds a development potential go on with the process. In the analysis phase, Inova calls in experts to find out if the idea is promising enough to be taken into the business-development phase, also known as the incubator. The assessment is based on a number of pre-set criteria.
Incubator
The activities in the incubator provide the “incubator companies” with support relating to networks, organisation, branding and business development. In that way, the companies can find assistance in areas that are important to their future development opportunities on the market.
Growth
After a year and a half in the incubator, the companies are more well-prepared to take their businesses to new levels. Then, focus is on continuing the establishment on the market and, as soon as conditions permit, expansion. During this time, Inova assists with both counselling and contacts.
