Inova hires business advisors

Fredrik Sjövall knows what it is like to complete the journey from idea, via incubators and all the way to the position as managing director of a successful pharmaceutical company. Kerstin Wramstedt has long and valuable experience of sales, on the national as well as the international arena. Now Inova broadens its competence by hiring two inspiring business coaches.

“What gets me going is to see business concepts evolve into profitable businesses. Creating good relations and building confidence are decisive measures in order to succeed,” says Kerstin Wramstedt, one of Inova’s new business advisors.

She worked for 20 years in sales with Värmland-based companies – for the past eight years as the operations manager of chemical company Bycotest AB in Karlstad. Kerstin has experience of everything from simple product sales to composing multi-year contracts worth millions. What she does not know about sales strategies and complex contracts is not worth knowing.

“It’s stimulating to share my experience with the incubator companies at Inova. I get so inspired by the energetic and skilful entrepreneurs around here,” says Kerstin.

Fredrik Sjövall understands what many incubator companies are facing. His journey took off at Chalmers School of Entrepreneurship in Gothenburg. Together with two professors, he started PharmaSurgics, the company that took him through the incubator environments of both Chalmers Innovation and Sahlgrenska Science Park. Today, PharmaSurgics has come a long way in the development of a new drug that is currently being tested on patients.

“After several years in incubator environments, I can hopefully contribute with my hands-on experience for the benefit of the companies in the Inova Incubator,” says Fredrik. “I recognise many of the issues they raise, and I hope I can be a valuable speaking partner.”

The period as the managing director of PharmaSurgics also provided another valuable insight.
