Kristinehamn gets ready for idea counselling

Tuesday 15 September 2009 may turn out to be an important day for many an idea holder in Kristinehamn. Because that is when Idérådet (“the Idea Council”) will visit the town. “Idérådet is a golden opportunity for companies as well as individuals who want professional support as to how to take their business concepts one step ahead,” explains Magnus Albinsson of  Inova.

Idérådet addresses individuals and companies with business concepts but in need of support to find the right way forward. The initiative means that Inova and government-owned business promoter ALMI Företagspartner tour Värmland to meet idea holders on location in their home communities. That will enable the two organisations to make themselves more visible all over the region, while also establishing contacts with new groups of innovators.

On 15 September, Idérådet will be arranged for the third time, and three more Idérådet meetings are planned for the autumn.
- This way, we can support people who wouldn't have contacted us themselves. In the end, it can lead to the development and market introduction of more new business concepts," explains Malin Pfeiffer of ALMI Företagspartner.

Magnus Albinsson confirms that Idérådet has been a success, and he praises the fruitful co-operation with the various municipal business-development centres.
- We've been working in a way that lets the municipalities invite individuals and companies who are interested in getting feedback on their business concepts, but the event itself is being arranged by Inova and ALMI, he clarifies.

The setup in Kristinehamn is based on two sessions. The first session consists of pre-booked, individual 30-minute meetings in the afternoon at the business-development centre in Kristinehamn. Following that, there will be a two-hour open seminar, starting at 5.30 p.m.
