Strand-Craft signs contract with Norwegian importer of luxury boats
{mosimage}Boat manufacturer Strand-Craft has signed a contract with a well-known Norwegian luxury-boat importer.– The contract with Euro Yachts AS means that we’ll be in contact with the important Norwegian customer segment. That can provide considerable orders and large productions, says Strand-Craft founder Kurt Strand.
In Norway, the boat market is characterized by expensive productions and distinct design. Those demands fit the Strand-Craft boat models very well.
Therefore, the contract with Norwegian importer Euro Yachts AS means that Strand-Craft steps right into a market that opens many doors and has a great potential, according to Kurt Strand.
– This is an important contract, because it paves the way for major orders and productions, Strand asserts.
Based in Stavanger, Euro Yachts AS has international customers with significant purchasing power, coming from countries like the UK, the USA and Russia. On its homepage, the company describes Strand-Craft as a representative of boats that are “the ultimate luxury boats in the world” with a “design that unites classic elegance and modern technology”. Euro Yachts AS has already placed an order for the “Cobra 26” model from Strand-Craft.
Strand-Craft is the company from Grums, a few kilometres from Karlstad, which manufactures retro-designed luxury boats. The models are based on genuine craftsmanship made possible through close co-operation with professional suppliers in Värmland. As a consequence, the new contract with Euro Yachts AS will not only represent a great leap forward for Strand-Craft, but will also have positive effects for several companies in the region. And this is happening right now.
– We’re going to start production of the first order from Euro Yachts AS within the next few weeks, and delivery is planned for the summer of 2008, says Kurt Strand.
