Born: The first block of flats from Svenska Husfabriken

{mosimage}From modules to welcoming homes in a few weeks. Things happen fast when Svenska Husfabriken assembles its blocks of flats. The final roofing piece is now in place, so the keys to the first flats can be handed over.
Despite all the challenges that come with a first establishment, we’ve coped well and managed to stay on schedule, says Åke Gullberg, who is the construction project manager.

Svenska Husfabriken’s premiere was a success, according to company founder Clas Melander. The façade of the first building was erected a good week ago, and now it has been topped with a brand new roof. Consequently, on 17 November, the keys can be handed over to the housing company that lets the flats. Which, in turn, means the tenants can soon step into their future homes.

It’s a challenge to manage a new construction project and make all the pieces fit, but the work progressed very well, project manager Åke Gullberg noted as the new modules arrived to Södra Råtorp just outside Karlstad’s city centre in October.

Now the company goes on to new tasks. The two coming construction projects are about to start, and the modules for the next building are planned for delivery in early February. This building will be located next to the just finished block at Södra Råtorp.

melander_fabrikenWe’ve worked a long time with the idea of offering high-quality rental flats at low production costs. Therefore, our first sites in Karlstad are a major advance for the company, concludes Clas Melander, founder of Svenska Husfabriken.
